NIAGARA VIPERS WOMEN ARE FINALISTS AT THE BOSTON CHOWDER CUP

NIAGARA VIPERS WOMEN ARE FINALISTS AT THE BOSTON CHOWDER CUP

The Niagara Vipers Women went to Boston, and shocked the 32 teams in attendance by making it thru to the finals.

The Vipers were the one of the youngest entries in the tournament, however they swept thru the round robin with a 3-0 record.

On Sunday, the Vipers faced 3 teams comprised mostly of NCAA players, but they were not intimidated. They won the quarter finals in overtime, won the semi final in a shootout, and then faced off against the Connecticut Polar Stars in the final.

The game was tied at 0-0 thru regulation, a 10 minute overtime didn't solve anything, so a shootout was the determining factor- and unfortunately for the Vipers they couldn't solve the Polar Stars goaltender.

Congratulations on a truly great performance by the young Viper's women!
